Toasehene Hails Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s Dedication to Education

Toasehene Nana Yim Awere Ababio has expressed his deepest admiration for Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s unwavering commitment to education through the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation.

Toasehene’s praise is a testament to the foundation’s impactful work in promoting education in Ghana.

The winner of this year’s Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge 2025, Freda Owusuaa Acheampong from Mensah Saahene M/A JHS inside Asante Mampong, presented her award to Toasehene Nana Yim Awere Ababio and Toasehemaa Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu.

Nana Yim Awere Ababio was impressed by Freda’s achievement and pledged to support her education at Kumasi Girls’ Senior High School.

The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation has graciously offered to sponsor Freda’s education from Senior High School through University. This generous sponsorship is a testament to the foundation’s commitment to providing opportunities for bright students to pursue their educational dreams.

The award winner, along with the 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up, will embark on a United Kingdom tour. In a generous gesture, the Chief of Trede has also pledged to sponsor the 4th and 5th position holders to join the trip. This gesture will provide an opportunity for more students to experience different cultures and learn from international best practices.

The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation has been instrumental in promoting education in Ghana. With a focus on providing access to quality education, the foundation has been supporting students across the country.
