The Resident Pastor of Pillar of Zion Church International Headquarters at Tarkwa Maakro, Pastor Gabriel Amponsah, has urged Christians to respect and honour God’s servants, while committing to serve the Lord with clean hearts and unity of purpose.

Speaking during the Sunday Church Service on August 9, 2026, Pastor Amponsah said the growth and impact of the church depends largely on the attitude of members toward God, leadership, and one another.

Worship God From A Clean Heart
Addressing the congregation, the clergyman cautioned believers against attitudes and behaviours that undermine the work of God and church leadership.
“Christians should serve and worship God from a clean heart, and be free from gossip and unhealthy behaviour thriving to kill the church of God and the leader of the congregation,” he stated.

He explained that division, backbiting, and negative attitudes do not only grieve the Holy Spirit but also slow down the progress of ministry and discourage leaders who have been called to shepherd God’s people.
According to Pastor Amponsah, true worship must be reflected in character, speech, and commitment to building the church rather than tearing it down.

Uphold And Honour Church Leaders
The pastor further emphasized the biblical responsibility of believers to honour those in spiritual authority.
“We should uphold tight and honour our church leaders,” he charged.
He noted that God places leaders in the church to guide, teach, and nurture members, and that respect and obedience create an atmosphere for God’s blessings to flow.
“Honour opens doors. When we support and pray for our leaders, we position ourselves and the church for greater impact,” he added.
Testimony Of Selfless Service
To buttress his message, Pastor Amponsah cited the hardwork of God’s servant Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, whose ministry he said God has uplifted across the world.

“God has uplifted his servant Evangelist Akwasi Awuah across the world through his selfless service to God and He will continue to have God’s blessing upon him,” Pastor Amponsah said.
He described Evangelist Awuah’s dedication and commitment to the work of God as evidence that service, humility, and honour attract divine promotion and global influence.

Call To Unity And Faithfulness
Pastor Amponsah concluded by encouraging members of Pillar of Zion Church International to guard their hearts, speak life into the ministry, and stand firmly with their leaders in prayer and service.
He said a church that walks in love, respect, and unity will experience the full manifestation of God’s power and purpose.
The service ended with prayers for the church, its leadership, and for God’s continued grace upon the ministry and its global outreaches.
