Toasehemaa, Nana Amonu Gyamfuaa Serwaa Bonsu, on Saturday led members of the Toase Traditional Council to commiserate with the bereaved family of the late Obaapanin Grace Akua Nsia at her funeral rites inside Ohwim in the Atwima Nwabiagya North.
The delegation joined a large gathering of mourners, sympathizers, and community members who had assembled to honour the memory of the late Obaapanin, widely regarded as a revered elder and matriarch in the area.
Message of Condolence and Solidarity

“The Bible said we should mourn with those in grief and share the joy with those in joy, and it is very difficult to lose an ever special and dear person to you,” Toasehemaa stated.

Extending the Traditional Council’s sympathies, she added, “Our condolences to the entire family on their loss.”
Nana Amonu Gyamfuaa Serwaa Bonsu further encouraged the family to find strength in the collective show of love and support.

She urged them to “use this moment to stay strong and stand firm,” and to “make this memorable day bind their unity to the end.”
Tradition of Communal Support
The visit by the Toase Traditional Council is in keeping with customary rites observed in the community, where stool authorities join bereaved families to offer comfort, uphold communal bonds, and reaffirm shared values during periods of loss.
Residents at the funeral rites described the Council’s gesture as a source of consolation, noting that the involvement of traditional leaders continues to play a vital role in strengthening community cohesion in times of sorrow.

The funeral rites for the late Obaapanin Grace Akua Nsia continued with tributes from family members, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate her life, service, and legacy in Ohwim.
