KGL EVE Medical Centre Officially Commissioned to Boost Mental Health Services for Women and Children

The KGL EVE Medical Centre, a cutting-edge facility dedicated to providing specialized mental health services for women and children, was officially commissioned at the KNUST Medical Village today.

The ceremony was graced by Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, and Her Royal Highness Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of Asantehene.

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Alex Daddey, CEO of KGL Group, Toasehemaa, Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu, Hon. Anwel Sadat, MCE for Oforikrom, and Madam Obuobia Opoku Darko, Managing Director of the Ghana Medical Trust Fund. The presence of these esteemed guests underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting mental health and well-being.

In her address, Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang commended the EVE Medical Foundation, KGL Group, and all partners involved in the project, stating, “I commend the EVE Medical Foundation, KGL Group, and all partners whose commitment has transformed this vision into reality.”

The KGL EVE Medical Centre is a significant milestone in the Ashanti Region’s efforts to promote wellness, dignity, and inclusive development. The facility will provide much-needed mental health services to women and children, addressing a critical gap in the region’s healthcare system.

Her Royal Highness Lady Julia Osei Tutu, speaking at the event, emphasized the importance of prioritizing mental health and well-being. “The Ashanti Region will continue to champion initiatives that promote wellness, dignity, and inclusive development for all,” she assured.

The commissioning of the KGL EVE Medical Centre, sponsored by KGL Group and headed by Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, is a testament to the power of collaboration and partnership in driving positive change. The facility is poised to make a significant impact on the mental health landscape in Ghana, particularly for women and children.

The centre will offer a range of services, including psychiatric consultation rooms, therapy and counselling units, inpatient wards, diagnostic and pharmacy services, rehabilitation spaces, and administrative offices. This comprehensive approach aims to provide stigma-free mental health support to the community.

The KGL Foundation and Eve Medical Foundation have partnered to provide specialized mental health services, promoting wellness and dignity for women and children in Ghana.
