The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion Church International, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has called on Christians to exercise patience, trust in God’s timing, and extend forgiveness to one another, saying God’s forbearance is the reason many still have life despite past sins.
He made the call during the last Church Service for June on Saturday, June 28, at the church’s headquarters in Tarkwa Maakro, Kumasi.
“God’s Patience is Why We Still Have Life”
Preaching on divine mercy, Evangelist Awuah said God’s love for humanity is evident in His willingness to wait on people to repent and change.

“God loves His children, that is why He is very patient with us,” he told the congregation.
“If not for His patience towards us, how can you who has done abortion, stealing and robbing, murder, or lived as a hypocrite, still have the chance and the life we live in?” he asked.
The clergyman stressed that God’s ultimate desire is not condemnation but salvation for all people.

“God doesn’t want anyone to perish but wants you to have salvation,” he said.
Turning to family life, Evangelist Awuah urged Christian husbands not to end their marriages hastily over wrongdoing.
He advised believers to mirror God’s patience in their homes instead of seeking quick divorce.
“I urge Christians not to divorce your wife because she has sinned against you, but rather have patience like God did for us,” he said.
He encouraged couples facing challenges to seek prayer, counseling, and reconciliation before making decisions that could break the family unit.
“Wait Upon God’s Fulfillment”
Evangelist Awuah further admonished the congregation to remain steadfast and wait on God to fulfill His promises in their lives.
“Have patience and wait upon God’s fulfillment in our lives to prevail,” he urged, adding that impatience often leads believers into avoidable mistakes and setbacks.
The service, which drew members from across Kumasi, ended with prayers for families, restoration, and spiritual growth.
