More than 30 stores were destroyed in a terrible fire that tore through a portion of Kumasi’s Race Course Market.
Beginning at around one in the morning on Tuesday, the fire mostly destroyed wooden stores and metal containers that belonged to merchants who sold grapes, watermelons, and cold storage.
To combat the fire and stop any damage, the Ghana Fire Service sent out three fire engines.
Despite the fact that there were no recorded injuries, the fire has devastated many vendors who have lost their livelihoods.
The government and other charities have been urged to assist the Watermelon Sellers Association by its head, Naomi Serwaa.
