“We will recover in order to gain the affection, support, trust, and confidence of Ghanaians.” – Napo Urged.

The 2024 election results and the party’s defeat have prompted a response from Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP Flagbearer’s running mate.

The NPP respected the Ghanaians’ decision and did not expect to lose the election by such a wide majority, according to a statement issued on December 11 by NAPO, as he is affectionately known.

In order to pick its course of action, the party will reassemble and examine its defeat, according to the MP of the Manhyia South seat.

For the privilege of being his running mate in the 2024 elections, NAPO expressed gratitude to Dr. Bawumia and the party members.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

Although the NPP did not anticipate this result, we appreciate the Ghanaian people’s decision.

“We have heard you clearly, Ghanaians, and we accept with humility.

To get it right, we’ll collaborate with you,” he said.

“I have had extensive discussions with our flag bearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to reflect on the outcome of the elections and, in good time, we shall reflect further as a political party on the causes of our 2024 election loss.

“I am grateful to HE the Vice-President for nominating me as his running mate, and to the NPP leadership for the overwhelming support I received,” he added.

Many have asserted that Ghanaians’ true opinion of Akufo-Addo’s leadership is reflected in the party’s resounding election loss.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, however, believes the party will “emerge stronger, and bounce back to win the trust, confidence, support, and affection of Ghanaians.”
