Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, has voiced hope for Ghana’s unity and resiliency as the country gets ready for the general elections in 2024.

“As a country, we will emerge from this election stronger. We hope that everyone will do something constructive to keep this nation together, peaceful, and stable. The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) urged all participants in the electoral process to rise to the occasion and uphold the country’s status as a model of peace and stability and live up to the peace pact being signed.

“The eyes of the world are on Ghana. The world is watching, hoping Ghana will rise again to the occasion, stand tall, and shine bright as the star of Africa. I am full of hope that we, as leaders and followers, will live up to the peace pact we are signing today,” he added.

Commending the efforts of the security services, media, and other stakeholders, Dr. Bawumia encouraged them to continue their vital roles in safeguarding peace throughout the election period.
