Sudan won’t be lucky next time – Otto Addo

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo says Sudan were ‘lucky’ against his side in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday, October 10.

Ghana failed to beat the Falcons of Jediane on their return to the Accra Sports Stadium for the first time since 2021.

Addo’s found themselves on the back of some good chances on the day but Antoine Semenyo, Mohammed Kudus and Inaki Williams all failed to make their efforts count in the second half.

The result sees Ghana’s chances of being in Morocco grow dim after two points from three games.

Speaking after the game, Addo told the media, “Sudan was very lucky today. That is all.”

“The next time we meet them in Libya, they won’t be lucky.”

The Black Stars have two points from three games after Thursday’s draw.

They now travel to Libya for the return fixture against Sudan knowing that a win could take them up to second in Group F.
