The National Christian Thanksgiving ceremony that President John Dramani Mahama hosted last Sunday has been declared illegitimate by the General Overseer of the Open Arms Ministry, St. Sark.
He has voiced his displeasure with both the list of distinguished clerics who attended and the location, which is the Ohene Konadu Auditorium at the University of Professional Studies.
Controversial St. Sark told newsmen on Tuesday at a press briefing that, the service which the NDC claim was performed to appreciate God for President Mahama’s win and for the calm and smooth conduct of the December, 7th general elections was a tremendous disgrace to God.
He said that some of the well-known clerics who attended the event, such as Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Archbishop Charles Agyin Asare, Prophet Owusu Bempah, Bishop Salifu Amoako, Rev. Stephen Wengam, and others, are not true servants of God and should not have been paid for the event.
He called it an abhorrent and disrespectful Thanksgiving service.
According to St. Sark, the majority of them belong to occult fraternities, and God did not accept the corporate prayer that Archbishop Duncan Williams delivered for President John Dramani Mahama during the event.
“They are the reason Ghana is not progressing, and they all have bad intentions against John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.”
St. Sark criticized the location, saying that according to God’s plans, his church auditorium (Open Arms Ministry), which is situated in Bantama North Suntreso, is the proper location for the Thanksgiving service. He also stated that he alone has the spiritual authority to choose the attendees and the date of the service.
“John Mahama must do the needful because my spiritual efforts earned him the Presidency “.
“No one in Ghana can say they helped the NDC and John Mahama win more than I did,” he continued.
The President has irritated God, according to St. Sark, and the only thing that can save him is JM. The party is also planning another Thanksgiving service.
The auditorium of my church must be the location. God was not pleased with what the NDC accomplished at UPS.
