SSNIT IS A Trusted Scheme And Has Come To Stay – Mr. Kofi Bosompem Osafo Maafo.

The Director General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Mr. Kofi Bosompem Osafo Maafo has stated emphatically that the SSNIT Scheme has come to stay deviod of any negative condemnation of persons and Journalists who wishes the collapse of the scheme.

Speaking to persioners during the 2024 Persions’ Engagement in the Ashanti Region, the director general reiterated persioners to have faith in the scheme.

Addressing a large crowd of persioners, Mr. Osafo Maafo assured them that, the NPP government is commited to safeguard the security of persioners of which steeps have been taken to boast their confidence in the scheme.

On the financial performance of SSNIT, the director general revealed that, in 2021 during the covid era, SSNIT recorded around over Ghs3 million. In 2022, it rakes in Ghs4.36 billion, In 2023, it records Ghs6.02 billion, and 2024, the figures went up significantly.

Mr. Kofi Bosompem Osafo Maafo however entreated the general public to build confidence and trust in SSNIT pension scheme because it has come to stay.

On the issue of SSNIT being on the verye of collapse, the Ashanti Regional chairman of Persioners, Nana Adarkwah Tuffour has confirmed that, SSNIT is even stronger than before after the Explaination given to them by the authorities of the scheme.

He however urged the media to help disseminate the good bews that, SSNIT is going to collapse but rather getting better than before.
