The Scripture Union Ghana has been recognised as the Christian organisation that has excelled in evangelisation and discipleship over the past 35 years.
The honour was conferred at a ceremony organised by Christian Honours on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
General Director of Scripture Union Ghana, Pastor Emmanuel Derek Koomson, and Director for Field Ministries, Elder Rockson Antwi, received the award on behalf of the organisation. They were accompanied by their wives at the event.
The team was presented with a citation and a plaque in recognition of Scripture Union Ghana’s sustained contribution to Christian ministry across the country.
Founded to nurture children, youth, and families through Bible engagement, Scripture Union Ghana has operated nationwide for over three decades. Its work spans schools, churches, and communities, with programmes focused on evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, and Christian literature.
Over the past 35 years, the organisation has reached thousands through camps, Bible study groups, school fellowships, and training for volunteers and ministry workers.
Speaking after receiving the award, Pastor Koomson dedicated the honour to past and present staff, volunteers, and partners of Scripture Union Ghana.
“This recognition reflects the faithfulness of God and the commitment of many who have laboured to disciple the next generation,” he said. “We remain committed to the ministry of the Word and to raising leaders of integrity.”
Elder Rockson Antwi noted that the award serves as encouragement to deepen the organisation’s field work, especially among young people. “Discipleship is a lifelong journey. We will continue to equip and walk with young Christians as they grow in faith and service,” he stated.
