The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Hon. Zuweira Mohammed Ibrahimah, has commissioned newly constructed school facilities in four communities and a CHPS compound at Kakoshie, marking a significant step toward improving access to education and healthcare in the constituency.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the MP expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to complete the projects. She also praised the Municipal Chief Executive for his leadership and professionalism throughout the implementation process.
A newly built classroom block was officially opened to provide a modern and conducive learning environment for pupils in one of the beneficiary communities.

Although construction was completed several months ago, the official handover was delayed to ensure that furniture was procured and in place before students began using the facility.
“There was no way we could commission the project without furniture for the students to sit on,” a municipal representative explained at the event. “The Municipal Assembly has now provided the needed furniture so students can immediately begin learning in a comfortable environment.”
The fully furnished classrooms are expected to ease congestion and improve teaching and learning conditions, contributing to better educational outcomes in the area.
Alongside the educational infrastructure, the MP also commissioned a CHPS compound at Kakoshie to bring basic healthcare services closer to residents. The facility is expected to reduce the distance many community members previously travelled to access primary healthcare, particularly for maternal and child health services.
The ceremony drew community leaders, residents, education stakeholders, and health workers, all of whom welcomed the investments with appreciation. Traditional authorities and parents noted that the projects would directly impact daily life by reducing barriers to both learning and healthcare.
The dual commissioning reflects a broader effort to address infrastructure gaps in Salaga South and to promote inclusive development across the constituency. Education and health officials said the facilities would serve as a foundation for long-term progress, while community members pledged to support their maintenance and sustainability.
The MP reaffirmed her commitment to delivering tangible projects that respond to the immediate needs of residents, emphasizing that development must reach every corner of the constituency.
