Ghana’s President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, has stated that the NPP party does not have plans to rig the 2024 general elections, contrary to what NDC candidate John Mahama claimed.
“During his two-day campaign tour in the Eastern Region, former President John Mahama said that if he loses this year’s elections, it means the NPP has rigged the election,” he said, addressing clergy and traditional leaders at Koforidua and commissioning Koforidua Jackson Park among other projects.
He claims that he conceded defeat in 2008 and 2012 following rulings from the Supreme Court and congratulated him ( Mahama ) after announcing him as the victor for Ghana to preserve its right to peaceful bragging.
Ghanaians should disregard the NDC’s allegations of poll tampering, he continued, because the country will hold free and fair elections to select its legitimate leaders.
The Eastern Regional NPP Chairman, Jeff KoKonadul, praised President Nana Akuffo Addo for his visit and for guaranteeing that people in the Eastern area would provide a sizable vote for Dr. Bawumia to carry out his development programs.
