The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi, has conveyed his sincere appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for selecting notable individuals from the Ashanti Region for Ministerial Designations.
These appointments, which include Dr. Frank Amoakohene as the Minister Designate for the Ashanti Region, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak as the Minister Designate for the Ministry of Interior, and Mr. Adjei Kenneth Gilbert as the Minister Designate for the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources, reflect President Mahama’s dedication to ensuring regional representation and inclusivity.
The appointments have garnered positive feedback from party members and constituents throughout the Ashanti Region, who are hopeful about the region’s contribution to the NDC’s vision for Ghana’s development.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman has also voiced optimism that more individuals from the region will be nominated for Deputy Ministerial positions and CEO roles in significant institutions, thereby enhancing the region’s ability to support Ghana’s advancement.
President Mahama’s administration has proposed several pivotal policies, such as implementing a 24-hour economy strategy, reforming the Bank of Ghana, and emphasizing local engagement in essential sectors.
