The newly enstooled Kussase Chief for Agogoso, Nana Alas Buri has been officially introduced to Nana Yim Awere Ababio, Toasehene, and Nana Amonu Gyamfua Serwaa Bonsu,Toasehemaa.
The introduction ceremony brought together traditional leaders and dignitaries from the Yim Awere Traditional Council.
During the ceremony, Nana Yim Awere Ababio charged Nana Alas Buri to promote unity among the Kussase people, citing recent chieftaincy disputes that have plagued the community.
Toasehene also advised the new chief to ensure that the Kussase youth do not get involved in the recently resolved conflict between the Kussase and Mamprusi people in the Northern part of Ghana.
Furthermore, Nana Yim Awere Ababio urged Nana Alas Buri to take steps to prevent the Kussase youth from engaging in illegal small-scale mining, popularly known as galamsey, warning that those who do so will face sanctions.
In response, Nana Alas Buri expressed gratitude to the Toasehene and Toasehemaa for the honor bestowed upon him.
He pledged to abide by the advice given and work towards promoting peace and unity among the Kussase people.
The introduction ceremony marked an important milestone in Nana Alas Buri’s tenure as the Kussase Chief, and his commitment to promoting unity and development in the community is eagerly anticipated.
