Neumann College Overall Best Student Urges Nursing Students to Prioritize Professionalism

The Overall Best Student at Neumann College, Kingsley Amankrah, has emphasized the importance of professionalism in the nursing profession. Speaking at the 5th Graduation and Matriculation Ceremony of the college in Atwima Takyiman, Amankrah urged his fellow nurses to approach their work with dedication and commitment.

Amankrah stressed that being a nurse is not just about wearing the uniform or being proud of the profession. Rather, it requires a deep understanding of the role and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients. “Being a nurse is not just about going or being proud of just the profession,” he said. “It requires hard work, dedication, and a passion for caring for others.”

The Overall Best Student also emphasized the importance of academic excellence in the nursing profession. He urged his fellow students to make the most of their time in school and to prioritize their studies. “Make the books your friends,” he advised. “Take your studies serious so that you can contribute effectively to Mother Ghana in the health sector.”

During his address, Amankrah also highlighted the improvements that had been made to the college’s infrastructure during his time as a student. He noted that the increased infrastructure would provide a better learning environment for students and enhance their overall educational experience.

Amankrah’s message resonated with the importance of contributing to national development. As future healthcare professionals, nurses play a critical role in shaping the health sector and improving the lives of Ghanaians. By prioritizing professionalism and academic excellence, nursing students can equip themselves with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to make a positive impact in their communities.

In conclusion, Amankrah’s message serves as a call to action for nursing students to prioritize professionalism and academic excellence. By doing so, they can become competent and compassionate nurses who are equipped to make a positive difference in the lives of their patients and contribute to the development of the health sector.
