The MTN Ghana Foundation will host its annual “Save a Life” blood donation event on Friday, February 14, 2025.
This campaign seeks to collect 6,110 units of blood to refill the National Blood Service and the blood banks of major regional hospitals around the country. On Valentine’s Day, the event will take place from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in each of Ghana’s 16 regions.
Speaking on behalf of MTN Ghana’s Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Nana Kofi Asare, General Manager, Legal and Regulatory Affairs, discussed the 2025 “Save a Life” blood donation campaign, saying, “The Foundation started this blood donation exercise because we are committed to supporting the country’s healthcare delivery system. We are pleased to carry on with this life-saving endeavour.
“We urge everyone who shares this vision to use Valentine’s Day this year as a chance to show their love by giving a unit of blood,” he stated.
To find out where we will be doing this exercise throughout Ghana, donors are urged to visit MTN Ghana’s website and social media accounts.
Every year on Valentine’s Day, the MTN Ghana Foundation organizes the MTN “Save a Life Campaign,” which is a blood donation event.
It gives the public and MTN employees the chance to donate blood, which will help restock regional hospitals and the National Blood Bank.
The National Blood Service launched this program in 2011 in response to requests for volunteer donations to alleviate the severe shortage of blood supply. More than 29,000 units of blood have been successfully raised by the exercise over the years.
