An ultra-modern library in Wiamoase, Ashanti Region, has been commissioned by the MTN Ghana Foundation to support the advancement of education.
This cutting-edge STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) library is intended to give students the tools they need to propel Ghana’s economic development.
The library is a component of the corporate social responsibility programs of the MTN Ghana Foundation and is the first of its type in the Ashanti Region.
In Mamfe, Dansoman, and Akim Oda, comparable libraries have been commissioned.
The MTN Ghana Foundation’s head, Robert Kuzoe, underlined that the organisation prioritises three main areas: economic empowerment, health, and education.
In order to give them the same advantages as their counterparts in more fortunate places, he urged pupils to take full use of this chance.
To promote STEM education, the library has desktop computers, laptops, and robotic equipment.
Nana Boakye Yiadom I, the Chief of Wiamoase, commended the MTN Foundation for their endeavour and exhorted pupils to adopt digital literacy.
In order to guarantee the Wiamoase Diaspora Community Library’s sustainability, Nana Boakye Yiadom reminded the community of the significance of upholding a strong maintenance culture.
