The Ashanti Regional Chief Imam has received a substantial donation from MTN Ghana in advance of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration in Kumasi.
The donation consists of GHC 10,000 that has been wired along with necessary materials. Included in the donated products are: Drinks and Foods: Containers of bottled water, rice bags, cooking oil boxes, and soft drink cartons On behalf of MTN Ghana, Mr. Simon Amoh, Senior Manager, General Trade, MTN Northern Ghana, gave the presentation.
MTN, as an African firm, identifies with all beliefs and values community support, Mr. Amoh said at the presentation, adding that the donation was an annual custom to support Muslims during the Holy month of Ramadan.
Mr. Amoh also used the opportunity to offer MTN Ghana’s sympathies to the Ashanti Region’s Muslim community for the loss of the late Regional Chief Imam last year. Ustaz Ahmed Seidu, Executive Secretary of the Office of the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, accepted the donations at the Kumasi Central Mosque.
In his statement, Ustaz Ahmed Seidu thanked MTN Ghana for continuously exhibiting its friendliness and support for Muslim communities throughout the nation. This contribution is a part of MTN Ghana’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebration efforts to support Muslim communities.
The company’s dedication to giving back is demonstrated by this donation, which continues its legacy of aiding and supporting different communities throughout Ghana. Similar gifts have been given to other regional chief imams, like as the national chief imam, who was given food items and GHC 20,000.
