Mohammed Abudi, who defiled a 13-year-old girl in the Wa Municipality’s Guli village, was given a seven-year prison sentence by the Wa Circuit Court.
The Public Affairs Directorate of the Upper West Region’s ASP Michael Toya signed a statement on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, announcing this. Two days after he committed the crime on Friday, April 11, 2025, Abudi was captured on Sunday, April 13, 2025.
“The Wa Circuit Court heard the case, where Abudi pleaded guilty. On April 23, 2025, His Lordship Jonathan Avoogo sentenced him to seven years’ imprisonment.
“The Regional Police Command urges potential offenders to refrain from committing such crimes, issuing a stern warning to them,” the statement said.
