The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has launched the Integrated Courier and Logistics Management System – Ghana (iCOLMS-GH), a digital platform designed to regulate the country’s courier and logistics sector and restore trust in e-commerce deliveries.

The launch follows a chaotic enforcement exercise in August 2025, where hundreds of motorbikes were seized, prompting government intervention.

The Minister explained that iCOLMS-GH introduces a fully digital and paperless licensing regime, enabling courier companies and individual riders to apply for, renew, and verify their regulatory status online.

The platform integrates with national systems such as (link unavailable) and the National Identification Authority, with future integration planned with the Ghana Police Service’s Traffitech-GH platform.

The system empowers the public to verify the legitimacy of courier companies and riders, while giving the regulator real-time monitoring capabilities.
Hon. George urged operators to register on the platform, describing iCOLMS certification as a “badge of professionalism and accountability.”

A 19-day grace period has been given for compliance, after which enforcement will resume nationwide on April 1, 2026.
