Assembly members in the Ashanti Region’s Atwima Kwanwoma District have expressed worry about the NDC Chairman and the local youth organizer’s illegal invasion and stealing of assembly property in the Coordinating Director’s home.
Speaking to the media, presiding member Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah explained that because of the assembly’s limited space, management and assembly members had decided since 2017 to keep certain items at the Coordinating Director’s home, including fertiliser, street bulbs, warranty boots, and many more.
Furthermore, everyone is aware that this has been a consistent issue from the previous coordinator to the current one, Madam Eunice Korankye.
However, they were shocked when Mr. Solomon Alonga, the youth organiser and chairman of the NDC, broke into the coordinating director’s home and used the police to hold these assembly properties hostage without the director’s consent.
As they accused the coordinating director, Madam Eunice Korankye, and the assembly members of stealing, Hon. Anthony Kwame Nsiah stated their displeasure with the NDC Chairman’s and the youth organizer’s treatment of them, calling it a shame to their credibility.
They, therefore, called on the general public to disregard any false allegation being spread by the NDC in the constituency against the coordinating director and the assembly members in the district as they were all baseless.
