
Nana Obeng Mensah Ababio II, Chief of Manso Keniago, has urged all Christians in the community and beyond to use the upcoming Christmas season as an opportunity to renew their spiritual commitment, set aside harmful behaviours, and contribute to national harmony.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kumasipioneer.com, Nana Mensah emphasized that the transition from 2025 to 2026 presents a symbolic moment for personal and collective transformation. “As 2025 draws to a close and 2026 beckons, it is time for us to change our attitude and behaviour to help build a strong and healthy nation,” he said.
Nana Obeng Mensah Ababio II lamented the prevalence of social ills that have plagued the region in recent years armed robbery, protracted chieftaincy disputes, and lingering conflicts and called for an end to these vices.

He urged the faithful to embrace virtues of truth, honesty, and loyalty to the Golden Stool and to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

“Let this Christmas remind us of the power of love, forgiveness, and unity,” the chief added. “If we all commit to serving our traditions and the throne with integrity, we can usher in a peaceful and prosperous new year for everyone.”

The message was received by community leaders, clergy members, and residents, many of whom pledged to heed the call for moral renewal and social responsibility during the holiday period and into the coming year.
