
The town of Mankraso has been given a facelift as residents, government officials, and community leaders converged to participate in a massive clean-up exercise.

The event, held ahead of Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebrations on March 6, aimed to promote cleanliness and sanitation in the area.

Speaking to the media, the Ahafo Ano South West District Chief Executive, Hon. Abubakar Sedik, emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
“Cleanliness is one of my top priorities, and I’m grateful to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for uplifting and promoting the National Sanitation Day,” he said.
Hon. Sedik urged residents to take ownership of their surroundings, adding, “We should all be on our toes to help maintain our hygiene and health to prevent any diseases.”
The clean-up exercise saw participants clearing litter, sweeping streets, and removing debris from public spaces.
The event was seen as a testament to the community’s commitment to a healthier environment and a cleaner Ghana.
As the country prepares to celebrate its 69th Independence Day, the people of Mankraso are setting an example for others to follow.
