The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has overwhelmingly endorsed Richard Ofori Agyeman, also referred to as King Zuba, as its new mayor.
55 of the 56 assembly members cast votes in his favour at a vote at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi, indicating a resounding endorsement of his leadership.
This amounts to 98.2%. King Zuba’s qualifications.
President John Dramani Mahama first announced King Zuba’s nomination as Kumasi Mayor, pointing to his stellar record as a former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Obuasi.
His devotion to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Golden Stool has garnered him widespread support and recognition from the Ashanti Region’s chiefs as well as the Manhyia Palace.
