It is evident that the Bawumia and Akufo-Addo governments have lost control of the economy – Sammy Gyamfi..

During an appearance on Joy News News file on November 9, Sammy Gyamfi, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) National Communications Officer, expressed severe disapproval of the current administration, which is led by President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Gyamfi emphasized the growing challenges that the people were suffering in the face of rising inflation and uncertain economic conditions when he said that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration had “clearly lost control of the economy, bringing hardship to the ordinary Ghanaian.”

Gyamfi’s comments reflect the feelings of many Ghanaians who are having financial difficulties. With unemployment rates on the rise and the cost of necessities surging, everyday issues have become a huge concern.

In this context, Gyamfi emphasised the importance of experienced leadership, mentioning former President John Dramani Mahama in particular.

“Mr. Mahama is a leader with experience and understanding of the Ghanaian economy. Ghanaians will vote for him to steer the country forward,” he stated confidently.

They describe Mahama’s previous economic performance as excellent, and the NDC has discussed it. Mahama implemented several measures during his administration, including investments in infrastructure and social programs, to stabilized the economy and promote growth. According to Gyamfi, this kind of experience is necessary for navigating the current economic climate.

“We need someone who has been put through a lot of pressure and knows how to manage the economy effectively,” Sammy Gyamfi declared.
