Even though his party is in opposition, Hon. Michael Kwasi Aidoo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Oforikrom area, says he is determined to fulfil his campaign pledges by lobbying to promote development in his Constituency.
As I stated during my campaign that I believe in self-empowerment to help the youth on income-generating skills, especially in apprenticeship, he said, “We understand the political game of the party in power having bigger share in terms of national cake, but I will continue to push and work for my Constituents to get their fair share.”
“I will do everything in my power to support my constituents, especially the youth, even though I am already aware of the difficulties and the delay in releasing the common fund,” he continued.
Mr. Aidoo pledged to represent his constituents’ interests in Parliament and conveyed his sincere gratitude to them for granting him the chance to be their MP.
