“I stand for Ashanti Region Development,” – Otumfuo Assinhene Asserts.

The Otumfuo Assinhene, Nana Yaw Akuoko, has officially announced his intention to run for Ashanti Region’s seat in the upcoming Council of State elections on February 11, 2025.

Nana Akuoko reaffirmed his commitment to promoting the region’s growth and development in a statement released after the submission, highlighting important sectors like infrastructure, healthcare, and young economic empowerment.

In terms of infrastructure development, Nana Akuoko emphasized that the Ashanti Region faces several obstacles, especially in the areas of modern markets, road networks, and healthcare facilities.

If elected to represent the area in the Council of State, he promised to make sure the government prioritises these urgent issues.

“The Ashanti Region needs concentrated attention and development, although it has enormous promise.

My goal is to ensure that our area receives the resources it is entitled to in order to address problems like ageing market facilities, bad roads, and insufficient health centres,” he said.

“I will be the voice conveying these needs to the government in my capacity as a representative of the Council of State.”

Nana Akuoko discussed his dedication to promoting youth economic empowerment initiatives in addition to infrastructural development.

He pointed out that the young people in the area have a lot of promise but are frequently limited by a lack of chances and resources.

He pledged to support programs that provide young people the tools and chances they need to thrive.

I really think that young people have a lot of power. Ashanti’s future depends on empowering our youth and providing them all the resources they need to achieve.

Nana Akuoko underlined, “I will advocate for additional programs to assist the youth and guarantee they have access to the resources they require for their development.

The assembly members who will cast ballots in the elections were also urged to do so by the Otumfuo Assinhene. He asked them to take into account not just his credentials but also his personality and commitment to helping the Ashanti people. “As a representative, I want to be approachable by the public.” Members of the assembly are welcome to share their thoughts and concerns at any time. I’ll be a committed supporter of Ashanti’s development,” Nana Akuoko promised.

Prominent figures like Atwima Obofuo Kwaah Boakye Darkwah II, the Chief of Atwima Gyakobaa in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal District, have strongly supported the nomination.

He highlighted his long-standing dedication to the development of the area by endorsing Nana Akuoko’s candidature.

“Nana Akuoko has continuously demonstrated her commitment to Ashanti’s progress. Obofuo Boakye Darkwah declared, “He is the leader we need to represent us in the Council of State.”

Nana Akuoko is continuing to mobilize support for his vision of a more prosperous and developed Ashanti Region, and his campaign is gaining tremendous pace as election day draws near.
