It is estimated by President John Dramani Mahama that his government will need $1.7 billion to complete all of the outstanding Agenda 111 projects. However, he revealed that approximately 90 of the hospitals constructed under the previous administration’s Agenda 111 are still incomplete.
Despite beginning Agenda 111, the previous administration was unable to complete the hospitals. So many of them remain incomplete.
There aren’t any beds in any of the ones they commissioned. He complained, “At this point, we need 1.7 billion US dollars to finish the Agenda 111 projects.”
President Mahama proposed, during a meeting with the Christian Council, that religious organisations collaborate to assist complete some of the projects that have been started.
We won’t come to create a hospital in an area where the missions already have one in order to compete with them. The funds will be used to upgrade the mission hospitals so they can offer the service.
“Therefore, if some of the missions are interested, I am also suggesting that they could complete and oversee some of the hospitals,” he said.
He also pledged to complete all projects to meet the healthcare needs of Ghanaians.
