Evangelist Akwasi Awuah Charges Christians To Bear The Fruit Of Love

The Founder and Leader of Pillar of Zion International Church, Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, has charged Christians to bear the fruit of love for one another, describing love as the foundation of true Christian living.

He gave the charge during a special Sunday service that climaxed a week-long programme dubbed “Zion Northers”for members and congregants from the Northern part of Ghana in the ministry.

“Stop Relying On Hearsay”

Preaching from Galatians 5:22 on the Fruit of the Spirit, Evangelist Awuah said Christians cannot claim to follow Christ while harboring bitterness, grudges, and unresolved issues in their hearts.

“A Christian shouldn’t live a life where you have issues with others in your heart. That does not make you a true believer of Christ,” he told the congregation.

“Stop relying on hearsay because it will kill you. If God is going to repay us based on the life we are living in this world, do you think we will make it to heaven?” he quizzed.

The man of God emphasized that genuine faith must be demonstrated in daily conduct, not just in church attendance.

Love Must Be Practical

Evangelist Awuah urged believers to extend love beyond the church walls and into their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.

“We must show our love in our homes, among our neighbors, in our offices, and amongst the congregation. Whoever has the love of God has fulfilled all the commandments,” he said.

He noted that love surpasses kindness, peace, and humility, and that it is the greatest evidence of a transformed life.

“Let us love one another because love comes from God. Love surpasses kindness, love surpasses peace, love surpasses humility,” he stated.

Drawing lessons from scripture, he referenced Apostle Peter’s declaration of loyalty to Christ and subsequent denial, cautioning believers against empty promises without corresponding action.
“Peter even said a lot to Christ, that if it comes to death he would die for Him, but he rather denied Christ when he was confronted. Our love must be proven by our actions,” Evangelist Awuah said.

The Pillar of Zion leader further urged Christians to show love to sinners and even to their enemies, in obedience to biblical teaching.
“The Bible says we should love our enemies and do them good. That is the standard God has set for us,” he added.

He prayed for the Zion Northers participants, asking God to strengthen unity among members from the Northern regions and to use them as agents of peace and reconciliation in their communities.

The week-long programme featured prayer sessions, teachings, and testimonies aimed at spiritual empowerment and regional unity within the church.

Congregants described the service as timely and refreshing, with many pledging to apply the message of love in their families and workplaces.
