Ejisu MP Lawyer Kwabena Boateng Awards Scholarships to Over 50 Tertiary Students in Third Phase of Initiative

The Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Hon. Lawyer Kwabena Boateng, has awarded scholarships to more than 50 tertiary students in his constituency as part of a sustained effort to prioritise education and youth development.

The presentation marks the third phase of the MP’s Tertiary Students Support Initiative, a programme designed to ease financial barriers for young scholars pursuing higher education.

Since its launch, the scholarship scheme has expanded steadily across the Ejisu district. To date, more than 150 students have benefited from the initiative.

In the current batch, over 50 students received tuition and financial aid. This follows the first two phases, which supported more than 100 students combined.

Hon. Kwabena Boateng described the initiative as a strategic investment in the future of the Ejisu community. By removing financial constraints associated with university and college education, the programme seeks to promote academic excellence, allowing students to focus on their studies rather than tuition costs.

The support is also intended to foster leadership by equipping the next generation with the tools needed to contribute to Ghana’s national development, while providing economic relief to families within the constituency.

“Hon. Kwabena Boateng’s dedication to empowering the youth serves as a beacon of hope, ensuring that passion and talent, not financial status, determine a student’s success,” a statement from beneficiaries noted.

The MP reaffirmed his commitment to education as a cornerstone of community transformation. As the programme enters its next chapter, his leadership continues to be defined by a “vision-first” approach to community service, with education positioned as a key driver of long-term growth in Ejisu.

Beneficiaries of the current phase were drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country and are pursuing programmes in fields including health sciences, engineering, education, and business.

The Ejisu MP’s office indicated that monitoring mechanisms are in place to track academic progress and ensure the initiative delivers measurable impact in the constituency.
