The Ejisu Constituency’s Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Kwabena Boateng, has provided 550 twin desks to serve more than 80 public schools in the area.
The Municipal Education Directorate was given the desks to distribute to the underprivileged schools in order to improve instruction and learning.
During the brief ceremony to deliver the desks to the education director, Honourable Lawyer Kwabena Boateng stated that he has consistently provided furniture to schools within the constituency as part of his efforts to close the furniture gaps in schools.
He claimed that the 550 desks were being delivered in order to address the furniture shortage that certain public schools in the area were experiencing.
On behalf of the schools, Mr. Kwabena Owusu, the Obuasi Municipal Director of Education, received the desks and thanked the MP for attending to their needs so promptly.
According to him, the desks would significantly help schools who are struggling with furniture issues that are impeding efficient teaching and learning.
