Dr. Frank Amoakohene is Honoured by GNACOPS Executives for his Outstanding Dedication to the Ashanti Region’s Development.

Since his appointment, the Ashanti regional minister has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the region’s development, which has earned him recognition from the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS).

At the Ashanti Regional Cordinating Council on Monday, he received a courtesy call from a delegation from the Ashanti regional chapter of the Council, which was led by Executive Director Obenfo Nana Akwasi Gyetuah. The group included Edward Akansu-Ise, Regional Coordinator, GNACOPS; Rev. Owusu Ansah, Regional Board Chairman, GNACOPS; and Esther Questwood, National Administrator, GNACOPS.

He was given a citation by Obenfo Nana Akwasi Gyetuah to represent the honour and to acknowledge his nomination to the esteemed position by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of Ghana.

According to the citation, the council feels that Dr. Frank Amoakohene has given the area new life and hope.

The Minister has gained the respect of many stakeholders, according to GNACOPS, because of his commitment, vision, and enthusiasm for development.

A Courtesy Call The Executive Director of GNACOPS stated at the meeting that in addition to awarding him with the citation, the purpose of the courtesy call was to formally introduce themselves to him and inform him of the council’s presence in the area.

Obenfo Gyetuah continued his speech by thanking the government for including private schools to the Free SHS program, which was a major extension of the policy.

According to Obenfo Gyetuah, the council is in discussions with the Ministry of Education to expand the number of schools integrated, which is why 25 private schools were chosen for the pilot phase.

GNACOPS gave the assurance that their leadership is prepared to provide any assistance and cooperation required by the government to improve Ghana’s private schools.

Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti regional minister, stated that no government can function without the private sector’s involvement.

He stated that the inclusion of private schools in the Free SHS scheme was necessary because President John Dramani Mahama cared about their well-being. He guaranteed them the full backing of the government led by the NDC.
