Darbaa Community Centre Commissioned, Paving Way for Local Development

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Mba Zechariah Alenbilla, has officially commissioned the newly completed Darbaa Community Centre. The facility is expected to serve as a hub for social, educational, and developmental activities within the area.

The commissioning ceremony, attended by traditional leaders, assembly members, opinion leaders, and residents, marked a major milestone in the district’s ongoing efforts to improve community infrastructure and enhance public service delivery.

The centre is designed to host community meetings, youth development initiatives, skills training, educational workshops, cultural events, and other important social interventions.

Hon. Alenbilla described the centre as a transformational project that will strengthen community bonds and provide opportunities for residents, especially the youth, to participate in activities that promote progress and development.

“This community centre is not just a building. It is a symbol of our commitment to improving the lives of our people and creating a platform for inclusive development,” he stated.

The DCE also commended President John Dramani Mahama for his focus on ensuring the continuity and completion of ongoing projects across the country. Traditional authorities and residents present at the event expressed appreciation for the project, describing it as timely and necessary.

Residents of Darbaa welcomed the intervention, stating that the facility will help bring development closer to the people.

The commissioning of the Darbaa Community Centre forms part of broader development efforts by the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly to expand access to social infrastructure and improve living standards across communities.

Hon. Alenbilla reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to pursuing more projects that will enhance economic growth, education, healthcare, and community development throughout the district.

“Together, we will continue to build a district where every community feels the impact of government and the promise of development,” he concluded.
