Biakoye, Atebubu-Amantin DCEs resign

In compliance with Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), Section 20(3)(c), the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development announced the resignation of two District Chief Executives (DCEs).

Edward Owusu, the municipal chief executive of the Atebubu-Amantin municipal assembly in the Bono East region, and Millicent Kabuki Carboo, the district chief executive of the Biakoye district assembly in the Oti region, are the two DCEs that have resigned.

Until the President names permanent successors, the corresponding Regional Ministers will act as the districts’ chief executives for the two assemblies.

Owusu and Carboo were thanked by the Ministry in a statement released on Thursday for their devoted work and contributions to the advancement of their respective legislatures.
