In the wake of the terrible fire that destroyed Kantamanto market a few days ago, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed his condolences to the shopkeepers there.
Many traders lost their livelihoods as a result of the fire’s entire destruction of the well-known market.
On Monday afternoon, Dr. Bawumia went to the market to assess the situation.
“What I have seen is very sad and devasting,” he said, expressing sympathy for the impacted traders.
We sympathize with your loss and suffering as you lost both your investment and your source of income.
He demanded that the fire outbreak be looked into.
Some claim that someone purposefully set the market on fire after the fire broke out. In any case, he stated, “investigations must be carried out to determine what caused the fire outbreak.”
Dr. Bawumia promised to personally install CCTV cameras to improve market security as part of his contribution to market safety.
In order to safeguard their investments, Dr. Bawumia also advised the dealers to think about purchasing group insurance plans.
He gave the dealers a donation of 200,000 cedis.
