Atwima Mponua’s Aspiring DCE, Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa, Mourns Mpasatia Mining Victims.

The grieving families and constituents impacted by the recent mining tragedy in Mpasatia have received the deepest sympathies from Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa, the candidate for District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua.

Two people were killed in the terrible event that took place on April 2, 2025, while others are still buried beneath the rubble. In a press statement, Hon. Oforiwaa expressed her shock and sadness at the news and her sincere condolences to the families of the departed.

She prayed that the Almighty Allah would give them strength in this trying moment.

Rescue operations are already in progress to recover individuals who are still buried beneath the debris. Hon. Oforiwaa said she hoped the stranded people would be located quickly with the rescue team’s assistance.

Hon. Oforiwaa asked all constituents to maintain composure and refrain from any criminal activity in the wake of this tragedy.

She underlined the need of accepting accountability in the battle against illicit mining, emphasizing how vital it is to stop similar occurrences in the future.

Hon. Oforiwaa further conveyed her belief that the current administration is dedicated to tackling the problems of illegal mining and unemployment.

She gave the residents the assurance that these difficulties would soon significantly decrease under the NDC administration.

Finally, the statement from Hon. Sakina Oforiwaa was a call to action, asking everyone to take charge in the battle against illicit mining.
