Ghana’s finance minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has pledged that the budget for 2025 will promote economic growth, progress, and opportunity for all Ghanaians.
During the March 11 budget announcement, Ato Forson reiterated the government’s dedication to fostering social advancement, economic stability, and shared prosperity.
According to Ato Forson, the budget would prioritize initiatives that promote economic growth, development, and opportunity for all.
“As we move into the last stage of planning, we are committed to delivering a budget that promotes development, growth, and opportunity for everyone,” he said.
The finance minister emphasized that the administration is committed to creating an environment that supports economic growth, increasing access to affordable credit, and developing infrastructure.
“This budget will reflect our commitment to social progress, economic resilience, and a future of shared prosperity,” Ato Forson promised.
Inflation, a large budget deficit, and a significant public debt are just a few of the challenges Ghana’s economy has faced recently.
The government has implemented several measures to stabilize the economy, including the Ghana CARES program, which seeks to stimulate the economy and promote sustainable growth.
