Ashanti Regional Minister Visits the Site of Devastating Fire at Konongo-Odumasi Zongo.

A massive fire scorched Konongo-Odumasi Zongo in the Ashanti area, causing widespread devastation and loss of lives.Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, visited the area with the NDC Ashanti Regional Chairman, Chairman Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi, and Mr Kwasi Ofori Agyemang Boadi (former MCE for Obuasi) to examine the damage and give assistance to affected residents.

The fire, which was allegedly started by explosive materials (dynamite) supplied illegally by a resident, burned 30 houses, killed three people, and left numerous others in serious condition at the Konongo hospital.

He assured the affected victims that, each affected household will receive Ghs5,000 cedis as compensation.

Investigations are underway to find the culprit, and Dr. Amoakohene has pledged to investigate the situation thoroughly.

Dr. Amoakohene’s prompt reaction to the catastrophe demonstrates his dedication to the Ashanti region’s population’s well-being.
