In the Ashanti Region, a terrible tragedy happened at Patasi that left one person gravely injured and two people dead.
The tragedy occured when the school bus which belongs to Palmar International School at Patasi in the Kumasi Metropolis lost control and smashed into a storey structure.
The incident was said to have occurred on the eve of Monday, April 7, 2025, around 5pm.
The deceased are identified as Alfred, who was between 45 and 50 years old, and Maame Serwaa, who was 74 years old. Wofa is also confirmed as the one who was injured.
After Maame Serwaa invited Alfred to see the plumbing work in the house’s bathroom, one of the tenants,told Newsmen that the two deceased were talking about plumbing work in the house.
The two were discussing the estimated cost of the aforementioned bathroom plumbing work in a pub in front of the residence, she added.
According to her, the driver claimed that the collision occurred because the car’s brakes failed.
She said that in order to rescue them from the confined areas, police and Ghana National Fire Service officials had to step in.
In addition to destroying numerous properties, the catastrophe sent shockwaves across the neighbourhood.
For medical attention, the injured person was sent to Suntreso Government Hospital, while the deceased were taken to the mortuary.
The matter is being investigated by the police.
