
Hon. Kwame Frimpong has secured a historic third term as Presiding Member of the 9th Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, underscoring his popularity and effectiveness in leading the assembly.
The re-election was marked by an overwhelming majority, with 58 out of 66 members present voting in his favor, translating to a high score of 87.87%.
The contest was initially expected to be a closely fought battle, but it took a dramatic turn when Ernest Baffour Ofori, Hon. Frimpong’s contender, stepped down, allowing him to run unopposed.
