Tema Oil Refinery Ltd.’s Managing Director, Mr. Edmond Kombat, has received recognition for his outstanding leadership in reviving the refinery.
The Ashanti Regional Communication Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cited him for his exceptional efforts, stating that the refinery’s restart is a testament to youthful leadership in Ghana and has boosted the NDC’s communication efforts.
Mr. Kombat expressed gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to exceeding public expectations and supporting youth empowerment. His leadership approach, anchored in discipline, accountability, technical competence, and strategic planning, has reinvigorated the refinery’s operations.
The Energy Consumer Watch Ghana (ECWG) has also commended Mr. Kombat’s transformational leadership, noting that the refinery’s successful restart is a result of purposeful leadership, effective stakeholder engagement, and a renewed commitment to operational excellence.
The ECWG has recommended that the government provide sustained support to TOR to enable it to operate at optimal capacity and remain competitive.
