The Presidential Envoy in charge of interfaith and ecumenical bodies, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has emphasized the significance of prayer, gratitude, and divine guidance in national development, as he represented President John Dramani Mahama at the Unity Annual Thanksgiving Service held at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Abrankese, in the Ashanti Region.
In his address, Hon. Afriyie Ankrah conveyed warm greetings from President Mahama and the government team, commending H.E. Hon. Prof. Dr. Kwame Kyei and Unity Group of Companies for sustaining the Unity Annual Thanksgiving Service for 18 years.

He acknowledged the dedication of Dr. Kwame Kyei and his team, stressing that human effort alone is insufficient without God’s support and guidance.

“Whatever our human efforts are, if we do not have the help of God, it will all be in vain,” Hon. Afriyie Ankrah stated. He emphasized that recognizing God’s supremacy brings strength, empowerment, and divine elevation, citing Ghana’s recent National Day of Thanksgiving as an example of the nation’s gratitude and acknowledgment of God’s faithfulness.

Hon. Afriyie Ankrah attributed Ghana’s peace and stability to God’s grace, prayers of believers, and responsible leadership, urging Ghanaians to remain grateful and prayerful. He noted that sustained thanksgiving and praise are essential for preserving peace and ensuring national prosperity.

The Unity Annual Thanksgiving Service brought together prominent clergy, gospel ministers, traditional leaders, and dignitaries from Ghana and abroad, creating a powerful moment of worship, reflection, and national prayer.
