On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) will host a large cleanup exercise in preparation for the prestigious visit of His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, to the Head of State and Kingdom of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland).
From June 24–28, 2025, His Majesty King Mswati III, the Head of State and Kingdom of Eswatini, will travel to Kumasi.
The goal of the extensive cleanup effort is to make sure Kumasi is pristine and ready to welcome the esteemed Royal Guest.
It is anticipated that all stores and commercial enterprises in the Central Business Districts (CBDs) will close from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm in order to facilitate the cleanup and guarantee complete compliance and effective participation.
All citizens, companies, and interested parties are encouraged to take part in this initiative by the KMA.
We extend an invitation to the good people of Kumasi to work together to ensure the success of this exercise. By working together, we can highlight our culture, hospitality, and pride in our clean city. KMA’s Public Relations Unit released the statement.
