Ghana records 6 additional Mpox cases, bringing the total to 85.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) reported six more Mpox cases as of June 9, 2025, bringing the country’s total infection count to 85.

According to the GHS’s latest report, no new deaths have been documented, meaning that the country’s Mpox death toll has remained at zero since the outbreak began. Currently, only one patient is undergoing treatment.

Mpox is a virus that is primarily disseminated through intimate contact with infected persons, the health service warned the public.

Even though things are still under control, the GHS nonetheless urges Ghanaians to be cautious and take preventative action.

In order to prevent the spread, people are advised to avoid close contact with sick people and to report suspected symptoms as soon as they emerge.
