Kofi Adu Domfeh declares candidature for GJA Ashanti Chairperson.

A seasoned environmental journalist and news editor with the Multimedia Group, Mr. Kofi Adu Domfeh has formally declared his intention to run for the Ashanti Region chair of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

With more than twenty years of media business experience, Mr Domfeh is known for his dedication to thought leadership, capacity building, and socially responsive journalism.

An idea for journalism that is transformative. Because he believes that journalism should be a driving force for social change, Mr. Domfeh decided to run for the leadership of GJA Ashanti.

He thinks that journalism that is truth-based, transformative, and ethical is crucial for meeting the needs of all communities. He has four strategic pillars upon which to build his vision for the GJA Ashanti region:

1. Professional Development: Giving members’ ongoing education and skill improvement top priority in order to improve their professional capacities.

2. Journalist Welfare: Promoting increased security and assistance for journalists’ mental health in order to protect their wellbeing.

3. Institutional Innovation: Improving organisational adaptability to the changing demands of the media environment.

4. Unity and Inclusion: To create a more unified and productive journalism community, cooperation across media platforms and industries is encouraged.

All Ashanti journalists have been urged by Mr. Domfeh to unite around a common goal of excellence, relevance, and group advancement. He thinks there is a rare chance to create a media ecosystem that is more thriving and well-respected during the GJA Ashanti elections.

Mr. Domfeh is well-positioned to guide the GJA Ashanti area towards a better future thanks to his wealth of experience and dedication to the values of ethical journalism.
