King Zuba, the mayor of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, was honoured with the “Ceremonial Guard of Honour.”

The Metro Guard presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour to Kumasi Mayor Hon. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi.

The ceremony symbolized the mayor’s complete assumption of his responsibilities as Kumasi’s mayor and marked an important milestone in his term.

The mayor’s chain of office was formally put on him during the welcome ceremony. The mayor’s chain of office represents history, civic pride, and the power bestowed upon the position. It is worn at formal occasions and stands for harmony, deference, and the mayor’s dedication to serving the community as a whole, regardless of politics.

To commemorate this momentous event, a Metro Guard unit of thirty men, led by Sergeant Asamoah Mensah, proudly paraded in full colour party display. The honour and dignity of the mayor’s position were demonstrated by the ceremonial march.

Mr. Francis Dwira Darko, the Metro Coordinating Director, led the mayor through the ceremonial events of the day. To ensure a seamless transfer of responsibilities, Mr. Darko gave the mayor the Handing Over report.

The mayor was formally introduced to the various department and unit leaders as part of the ceremony. His term as Kumasi’s mayor began with this introduction, and in order to fulfil his commitments to the city’s residents, he is anticipated to collaborate closely with these departments.

The mayor reaffirmed his dedication to serving the Kumasi community and all of Ghana. Hon. Boadi is prepared to lead the city with commitment and integrity now that he has received the ceremonial Guard of Honour and formally assumed his duties.

The ceremonial Guard of Honour signified the mayor’s complete adoption of his responsibilities as Kumasi’s mayor and was a major turning point in his term. With the backing of the Metro Guard and the mayor’s chain of office, Hon. Boadi is prepared to serve Kumasi’s citizens and advance the city’s growth.
