NDC Stands Out As The Most Successful and Attractive Political Party in West Africa – Kabore Declares…..

Mr. Kabore Mahmud, the Dean of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region, has underlined the party’s major contributions to Ghana’s political scene.

He noted that the social-democratic party played a vital role in the creation of Ghana’s 1992 Constitution, which has proven robust and has built a platform for the nation’s continuous democratic progress.

Mr. Kabore asserted that the accomplishments of the NDC are unparalleled by any other political entity in Ghana.

He recall on the December 7, 2024 elections, how we ( NDC ) unexpectedly defeated the Bawumia-led NPP, shattering the record of almost a million votes in 2016.

Regarding this, the NDC established a number of electoral records that has never been surpassed.

“Bawumia was ruthlessly destroyed by President Mahama with a difference of more than 1.6 million votes. Ashanti Reference, the NPP’s main global bank, was converted into a micro savings bank by the NDC. Election observers were stunned when the NDC won 10 seats in the Ashanti Region for the first time ever” he stated.

“The NDC stands as the most successful and attractive political party in Ghana and West Africa since independence. We have ample reasons to take pride in our party. In terms of development, the NDC has a proven track record that is hard for any other party in this country to match,” Mr. Kabore declared.

The NDC, a social-democratic party in Ghana, was established by the late Jerry Rawlings, who served as the Head of State from 1981 to 1993 and as President from 1993 to 2001.

The party’s symbol is an umbrella topped with a dove’s head, and its colors are red, white, green, and black, with the motto “Unity, stability, and development.”

On the international stage, the NDC is affiliated with the Progressive Alliance and Socialist International.

The party emerged following the establishment of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which governed Ghana after the military coup on December 31, 1981, amid international calls for a return to democratic governance.

The NDC was formed as the ruling party in preparation for the 1992 elections, in which the late JJ Rawlings was elected president, and he was re-elected in 1996 as the NDC candidate.
