Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has been urged by President John Dramani Mahama to use his position of authority to assist in resolving Ghana’s economic problems.
President Mahama commended the Asantehene during a visit to the Manhyia Palace for his crucial contribution to economic development in his former administration.
He pledged to finish stalled and abandoned infrastructure projects, especially in the healthcare sector, as part of his renewed commitment to promoting development in the Ashanti Region.
“Our nation Ghana is facing a dire economic crisis, but this is not the first time we have been in such a crisis,” Mahama stated on January 19, during the first Akwasidae festival held at the Manhyia Palace.
